5 creative ways to recycle your content

We recycle plenty of materials like cardboard, glass, and plastic to give them a new life and to be mindful of the environment. Using existing materials means you can create something new and exciting without having to start from scratch. Recycling has a broader term nowadays and can be applied in many ways, like with content. Utilizing an existing piece of content as a base for something new (aka “repurposing”) gives your old(er) content a new look and extends its reach. Wrapping your existing content in a new format also speeds up your production, helping to keep up with the ever-rising demand for content.

Podcast episode into a blog article

Podcasts are an excellent medium for information sharing: you can fit a lot of brain food in just one episode. Turning all that content gold into text in the form of a blog article makes it easy for your audience to revisit the information and consume it at their own pace.

Video into snippets on social media

Short videos are everywhere. And that’s hardly a surprise since they’re easy to consume, even for those with a short attention span. So, go ahead and create snippets of the best parts of your video and use them on social channels. You can get plenty of snackable posts out of a video. 🥨

Interview into quotes for social media

Quotes have been used for centuries to impact people. Draw a strong quote (or two!) from an interview, place it on a background, and post it on social with descriptive copy and link to the original discussion. Try including a portrait of the interviewee and tag them in the post for extra engagement.

Blog article into an infographic

A picture is worth a thousand words. Spice up your content by creating an infographic highlighting your blog article's essential parts using visual cues. Infographics are easy to digest and more memorable than long-form text. Be cautious not to overcrowd the infographic with information — showcase only the most important parts for the audience. ✨

Webinar into a newsletter

Webinars can be time-consuming to watch and require constant viewer engagement. Therefore, they’re easily skipped or “played in the background,” and valuable information can be lost. Export the webinar transcript and use it as a base for a newsletter highlighting the most significant parts of the discussion.
