Consuming LGBTQIA+ content throughout the year is important. Pride month is a great opportunity to educate yourself and hear stories from the community ❤️ Here are some of my picks:
- LGBTQ&A podcast by Jeffrey Masters Interviews public figures that are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, including Laverne Cox, Margaret Cho, and Trixie Mattel.
- The Velvet Rage: Overcoming the Pain of Growing Up Gay in a Straight Man's World This book shares real stories of gay men and their experiences of navigating the world that's structured for straight-identifying people and dealing with shame. I can recommend this book to everyone.
- Heartstopper, created by Alice Oseman (brought to screens by Netflix) Beautifully told story, focusing on queer teenagers. Seeing positive and heartwarming queer content makes my heart burst with joy.
We have quite some Pride content coming out very soon so keep your eyes peeled 👀🌈
